The Shutdown Of Chrysler Dealers May 29, 2009

Very interesting.
Seems in the bankruptcy forced on Chrysler by Our Lord and Savior, all but one of the dealers shut down by the bankruptcy were donors to Republican candidates or any candidate not named Barack Hussein Obama.
From Doug Ross via Allahpundit at HotAir:
I took all dealer owners whose names appeared more than once in the list. And, of those who contributed to political campaigns, every single one had donated almost exclusively to GOP candidates. While this isn’t an exhaustive review, it does have some ominous implications …
Ross has a nice, neat summary here.
In short, The Anointed One clearly used a partisan political basis for closing car dealerships. Donate to Republicans or conservative causes? You’re outta here. Support Me? Nothing to worry about.
Here’s a lawyer for Chrysler stating the obvious via al-Reuters: the decision to close these dealerships was not Chrysler’s, but rather The Messiah’s and that of his car czar.
Lawyer Leonard Bellavia, of Bellavia Gentile & Associates, who represents some of the terminated dealers, said he deposed Chrysler President Jim Press on Tuesday and came away with the impression that Press did not support the plan.
“It became clear to us that Chrysler does not see the wisdom of terminating 25 percent of its dealers,” Bellavia said. “It really wasn’t Chrysler’s decision. They are under enormous pressure from the President’s automotive task force.”
He added the government task force, which he criticized for having no members with retail experience was, in effect, attacking U.S. entrepreneurs.
“What is the next task force? Shoe stores? Pizzerias?” Bellavia said at an event in Manhattan to publicize the dealers’ concerns ahead of a bankruptcy court hearing.
No retail experience? None of the members of The Christos’ task force have even had experience running a lemonade stand. They couldn’t organize a two-car funeral. But they can run the automotive industry. Yeah, right.
Here’s a listing of the shuttered Chrysler dealerships. The same source researched the list of those dealerships and found that an overwhelming number of those dealers were contributors to Republican candidates and conservative causes.
More and more like His buddy Hugo Chavez every day.
Josh Painter at Red State talks about more of the quantitative evidence of the Chocolate Jesus delivering retribution to His political non-supporters.
Shades of the Nixon enemies list, we first saw signs that Obama wasn’t above playing hardball with his political opponents during the active campaign. Even though he won, Obama and his team have remained in campaign mode to this very day. Obama demonstrated for all to see that he had no qualms about leaning heavily on radio and television stations which aired ads depicting him in an unfavorable light. Now he appears to be taking the payback thing a big step further by punishing car dealers who donated to the other side. The message Emperor Barack I is sending is a chilling one for those who cherish America’s long and honored tradition of liberty.
It is indeed Nixonian. But even worse than Tricky Dick.
Gateway Pundit has a map which shows the locations of the closed details and compares it to the red vs. blue map from the election.
There’s more here from Gateway Pundit, including video from a profitable Chrysler dealer whose dealership is being shut down with Neil Cavuto of Fox News.
Oh, and Gateway Pundit also points out that a dealer group that consists of big donors to Democrats, including the founder of Black Entertainment Television and a major supporter of The Messiah, was allowed to keep all six of its dealerships open while its entire competition consisting of Republican donors was eliminated by Obama’s task force.
Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.
Clearly, you can take the street thug out of Chicago, but He’s still a street thug.

And your point is?
The only dealer who donated to the Chocolate Jesus was a pissant little one. There are probably some dealers who deserve to go under, but this is not the government’s role to shut down businesses, unless you are a statist.
