Guess what?
Turbo Tax Cheat Tim Geithner thinks the economy needs even more stimulus. After all, because Porkulus I worked so well.
We think there’s still a very strong case for more work by Washington … It’s important to find a way to put some additional incentives in place for business investment and to start a substantial, multi-year program of investment in infrastructure. We’re still at a time where the economy needs some reinforcement.
Let’s see: $1.3 trillion in stimulus in February 2009 created or saved virtually no jobs — and whatever jobs it did create or save were public sector (read: government jobs) that could have disappeared and no one would have noticed.
All it did was send a boatload of taxpayer money off to various congressional districts to take care of various congressional pork projects, build water parks and bike paths, build bridges for animals to cross highways, make sure various people can wear fluorescent vests, hard hats and wave flags and lean on shovels all day long … and make sure various bureaucrats get raises. Yes, a bureaucrat getting a raise was considered a job saved by the Obama Regime.
Not one real job (read: private sector) was saved or created.
And now the Turbo Tax Cheat Treasury Secretary wants even more of the same.
Talk about stuck on stupid.
Once again, government spending does not create jobs, the thing that Vice President Chia Pet, Joe “Plugs” Biden, says is a three-letter word.
Not only that, but only about half the money from Porkulus I have even been spent!
