Updating The Tabitha Hale Assault

As we wrote here, Tabitha Hale of Freedom Works was physically assaulted by a union thug from the Communications Workers of America, which was part of an astroturfed union protest of the HQ of Freedom Works.

Today, Tabitha speaks of the incident at Red State:

I’m a 5′1 female in a dress, and he was standing up on a garden wall above me in the courtyard. He hardly felt threatened. I was stunned, because generally protesters are there to, you know, get their message out. They don’t normally shy away from the camera.

I’m very much okay, and very appreciative of the support from my fellow bloggers and activists today. I am, however, shaken up by the level of sheer hatred I experienced today. The look of fury on his face in the close up is appalling. I had not exchanged a word with him. He didn’t know who I was. He didn’t even know my name, what I do. He had probably surmised that I was with FreedomWorks and that was enough.

This just can’t be tolerated anymore. It’s one thing to be called a violent teabagger. It’s another to be called a violent teabagger while you’re being assaulted. They’ve been comparing themselves to the Egyptians ousting Mubarak. Looks like they’re not too far off, given that they share the tendency to assault women with cameras.

In addition, it’s disgusting to me that the first response I received from the Left was rationalization. “You were too close, respect personal space” and “well he obviously didn’t want to be filmed!” – essentially, it’s the “her skirt was too short” defense. No one deserves to be hit. The concern from a bystander was that “You’ll get on the news, stop it!” Unfortunately for him, he did not know who he was dealing with. I will ensure that this happens.

I was not asking for this. There was no confrontation between the thug and myself prior to this. He had not asked me to put the camera away. I was not as close as the video implies (it was cropped from a vertical iPhone video so it would fit on youtube). I was simply filming a protest, as I have done for the past two years. Amazingly enough, none of those crazy right wing extremists ever hit me.

At this point, I’m grateful we moved to a higher security building last month. For a bunch of violent racists, the Left sure seems to be comfortable threatening and attacking us.

We must really suck as bullies.

We must, because our side is not the bullies. Theirs is, always has been, always will be.

Also, a reminder that Freedom Works had to relocate its headquarters and offices and arrange for extra security as a result of death threats from unhinged leftists (H/T to Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit):

One of Washington’s principal supporters of the Tea Party movement, former GOP Majority Leader Dick Armey’s FreedomWorks, has been receiving death threats and profanity-laced phone calls as it gets involved in the fall elections. The number and intensity have reached such heights that the organization is leaving its downtown location near the FBI and moving to a high-security building near the U.S. Capitol.

“FreedomWorks and Dick Armey receive dozens of threatening and harassing calls and E-mails each day. Many imply violence and use of weapons,” spokesman Adam Brandon tells Whispers. “As we get closer to the election we expect the harassment to increase.”

He says that FreedomWorks will hire additional security, meaning less money for its election-eve, get-out-the-vote, or GOTV, campaign. “Unfortunately, we may have to use resources for security guards that we would rather use for GOTV,” he said.

The group plans to move to 400 North Capitol Street NW, a secure building two blocks from the U.S. Capitol. That building also houses Fox News Channel’s Washington Bureau and several other media outlets.

FreedomWorks provided some of the recordings of the threatening calls to Whispers and they include physical threats and profanity aimed at the group, Tea Party spokesmen and even conservative talkers. “You guys better watch it,” says one caller. “Now, we are going to destroy and obliterate Rush [Limbaugh] and Sean Hannity,” said another. “Those two guys are dead.”

Assembly Deal To Limit Debate

Democracy in action in the State Assembly.

Republicans and Democrats agreed to limit debate after a 40-hour marathon session in which Democrats offered amendment after amendment to Gov. Walker’s bill to limit collective bargaining for gummint unions.

The Assembly could vote on the bill itself later today.

The deal was announced shortly after 6 a.m. Thursday following an unprecedented 40-hour debate that began Tuesday morning with only short breaks in between.

Democrats agreed to limit further amendments to just 38 with a 10-minute time limit on each one. If they take the maximum time for each, with no breaks, that would put the vote around noon.

There was one Democrat clearly unhappy with the deal, Rep. Mark Pocan:

Pocan says democracy is being limited with the agreement and Democrats still plan to strenuously make their arguments over the last hours of debate.

Sorry, Mark, but democracy is not being limited by the agreement. Your ability to stall the inevitable is, however. As we were lectured after the 2008 election, elections do have consequences, and voters booted the Democrats out in record numbers to try to turn things around here. You guys had eight years, and all you did is turn the state budget and state economy into a trainwreck.

Now it’s time to get out of the way and let the adults clean things up.

Go ahead and make your arguments as strenuously as you feel necessary, however. No one wants to deprive you of  your right to do so.

Senate Repeals Racial Profiling Data Mandate

The State Senate repealed the Jim Doyle-era mandate that requires law enforcement agencies to collect data about the races of drivers pulled over.

The racial profiling law took effect in January. It requires police to collect the age, Zip code, gender and ethnicity of stopped drivers and their passengers to determine if racial profiling is occurring.

Some police argued for repeal saying the law is time consuming and duplicative of other reports they must fill out.

Many police chiefs from Racine County said they were having officers comply with the law, but don’t like it. They say it takes up too much of officers’ time, puts officers at risk and the data collected is subjective.

Racine Police Chief Kurt Wahlen added that he thinks the data collection will hurt the relationship his department has with the residents of the inner city.

The time it takes to fill out the forms is one of the reasons Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling had deputies stop doing it last month after three days.

Schmaling, who has received some criticism over directing deputies not to comply with the new law, said he believes any mandate that puts deputies or the community in an unsafe situation needs to be repealed.

This was a law steeped in political correctness, based on the assumption that cops are racist and tend to pull over minority drivers more than white drivers. Pure and simple. It was meant to appease loud-mouthed community organizers who cry “Raaaaacism!” every time a minority driver is pulled over by law enforcement. And yes, there are 5 a’s in “Raaaaacism!”

With all due respect, Chief Wahlen is mistaken. Besides, I am sick of those whiners. Appeasing them is like trying to appease jihadists. Fails every time.

Anti-Semitism At The Freedom Works Protest

Not only did we have a Communications Workers of America union thug physically assault a young woman, we have an screaming anti-Semitic moonbat caught on tape as well.

From Ben Howe at Red State comes this eye-opener:

If you believe the media template, the racism, bigotry and hate is at … Tea Party rallies. Yet I’ve attended several and have seen nothing. No racist signs or chants. No bigots. Certainly no hate. You find all of that at lefty gatherings.

Howe observes:

The racist tea parties are finally being silenced by that bastion of understanding: the American left.  They’ll make sure to keep all those pesky minorities in lock step! And if any of them step out of line and think independently of the group, then brave men and women like those in this video will step forward to let them know that they are being ‘bad’ and need to shut up and get back in line.

Minority group think is a staple of the Left. Blacks that wander off the Lefty plantation are called Uncle Toms, House Niggers and other racist filth. Women that walk away from Feminazi dogma are demonized in the most vile filthy misogynistic manner imaginable. Gays? God forbid a gay man or woman be conservative. They’d have to associate with those hateful, evil Christians! Despite the fact that the gays I am acquainted with, such as the gentlemen from Gay Patriot and the boys from HillBuzz, are as conservative as I am. I’d be willing to bet we’d agree on 90 percent of issues.

Clearly, the Left doesn’t want anyone that belongs to designated victim groups to be able to think for themselves. If they did, they’d realize they don’t need liberals to succeed in America.

The Other McCain weighs in:

For all their sermons about “civility,” the Left never hesitates to unleash this kind of frenzied carnival of hate against their designated scapegoats, without concern for whether they thereby create a climate in which a union goon roughs up Tabitha Hale.

The sermons about civility were never about civility. They were part of a planned effort to silence dissent from conservatives.

Even More Civility On Display

This is a Communications Workers of America union thug physically assaulting Tabitha Hale of Freedom Works.

This is Tabitha’s webpage. This is Tabitha:

This is the CWA thug who physically assaulted a woman in her mid-20′s simply because she works for a group with a political agenda different from his.

Yeccchhhhh. I bet his kids flip a coin to see who has to kiss him good night. Ugly. How ugly? Four gay guys looked at him and went straight.

Here’s the assault:

Michelle Malkin gives us some background:

Today, Big Labor groups took their Grievance March to the offices of FreedomWorks.

Among the groups protesting: the Communications Workers of America. They’re one of the heavyweight labor biggies that have received a coveted Obamacare Waiver for Favors. CWA facts here.

I left the links in so you can read all about CWA.

It shouldn’t be too difficult to identify this thug from the video, and I hope Tabitha presses assault charges against him.

Is this what Rep. Michael Capuano meant when he said “Get a little bloody when necessary”?

The Other McCain calls them “thugs for social justice” here.

More New Tone And Civility From The Left

A Democrat puppet of union thugs tells his union thug puppeteers to go out and “get bloody” with anyone opposing Da Union Thug agenda.

Sometimes it’s necessary to get out on the streets and “get a little bloody,” a Massachusetts Democrat said Tuesday in reference to labor battles in Wisconsin.

Rep. Michael Capuano (D-Mass.) fired up a group of union members in Boston with a speech urging them to work down in the trenches to fend off limits to workers’ rights like those proposed in Wisconsin.

“I’m proud to be here with people who understand that it’s more than just sending an email to get you going,” Capuano said, according to the Statehouse News. “Every once and awhile you need to get out on the streets and get a little bloody when necessary.”

According to Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft, Capuano was pointing at Tea Party protesters across the street when he made the remarks.

The New Hampshire Journal reports Capuano has run off at the mouth in a similar manner previously.

Last month Capuano said, “Politicians, I think are too bland today. I don’t know what they believe in. Nothing wrong with throwing a coffee cup at someone if you’re doing it for human rights.”

As we’ve said all along, the Left’s demand for civility and a new tone had nothing to do with actual civility in public discourse or taking a new tone toward political opponents. It was all about silencing dissent and demonizing anyone who dared oppose them as being purveyors of hate.

Recall Launched Against Sen. Wirch

By virtue of his membership in the AWOL Wisconsin 14, Sen. Bob Wirch has made himself a target of a recall from office.

BURLINGTON – Cheryl Herrick, 51, of Burlington, has a message for her “missing” state senator, Sen. Robert Wirch, D-Pleasant Prairie. “Come back and vote,” said Herrick, who works in retail. “Elections have consequences.”

Wirch, who represents Burlington and most of Kenosha County, is one of the 14 senate Democrats who fled Madison last week when the state Senate was scheduled to take a vote on Gov. Scott Walker’s proposal to essentially eliminate collective bargaining for public workers.

Wirch has not returned calls for comment for several days.

In downtown Burlington on Monday, the consensus among area residents selected at random was that Wirch should go back and vote. Many, including Herrick, said they would like to see Wirch recalled for avoiding his vote. By running away, he is not doing his job, said Kellie Kerkman, 39, of Burlington.

“All I see is this teaching our younger generation to run away from problems. It’s time to grow up,” said Kerkman, who owns Kerkman’s SplitEnds, a hair salon at 316 N Pine St.

Down the street, Carl Schultz, 61, of Twin Lakes, said Wirch should be fired for avoiding “his responsibility.”

He recalled firing a worker from his car part manufacturing business, Five Star Fabricating, for repeatedly missing work after receiving multiple warnings, he said.

“If they are hired to do a job, they should be there,” said Schultz, who feels that way about his employees and his state legislators.

Let me preface this by disclosing some information: I know Bob Wirch. Bob Wirch is a great guy who has been very supportive of two projects in which I am involved. If my views causes him to withdraw that support, so be it.

I have to agree with Sen. Wirch’s constituents. He should be recalled from office for refusing to perform the duties which his constituents elected him to perform. Right now, by hiding out in Illinois with the rest of the AWOL Democrats, he is doing the bidding of one special interest, Big Gummint Labor.

Come back and do your job. That goes for the rest of the AWOL 14.
