Early Childhood Teacher Charged In Death Threats

[T]he parents of children at the school might want to know that someone unstable (and stupid) enough to send terrorist death threats to politicians from her home computer is being entrusted with the students.

Update: Charlie Sykes has this letter from the Wisconsin Department of Justice. Apparently the Dane County DA’s office was dragging its heels in issuing charges in the case. Yes, folks, this is the same DA that filed the lawsuit against the budget repair bill.

Yawn. Nothing to see here, folks. Move along.

Yes, you read that right.

A 26-year-old early childhood teacher is under arrest charged with making bomb threats and sending e-mails containing death threats to Republican members of the State Senate and Gov. Walker over the budget repair bill.

A Cross Plains woman was charged Thursday with making death threats to Republican state senators in connection with Gov. Scott Walker’s controversial plan to limit collective bargaining for public employees.

Katherine R. Windels, 26, of Cross Plains faces two felony bomb scare counts and two misdemeanor counts of sending a computer message threatening injury or harm.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Dane County Circuit Court, Windels sent threatening emails to 15 Republican senators on March 9 that began: “Please put your things in order because you will be killed and your families will also be killed due to your actions in the last 8 weeks.”

She also sent a separate email to Sen. Robert Cowles, R-Green Bay, the same day threatening to put “a nice little bullet in your head” and claiming to have placed several bombs in his house and car, as well as at the state Capitol, the complaint states.

Here’s the criminal complaint against Windels.

More coverage can be read here and here.

This is Katherine Windels:

Here’s Windels’ Internet profile from a website called PeekYou:

She is a 2010 graduate of Madison Area Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, which would fit, since on her PeekYou profile she lists Wexford Head Start as one of her work experiences. She also lists a place called The Red Caboose; a Google search turns up a Red Caboose in Madison for Toddler, Preschool and School Age programs.

More from the Sentinel Journal here.

Prediction: she pleas out to a misdemeanor charge, serves no jail time and gets community service. Hopefully her Wisconsin license to be an ECE teacher is pulled. She has no business around children. I’d just as soon have Michael Jackson babysit my kids than have them around people like her.

You Stay Classy, Capper

Update III: Linked by Jim Treacher at The DC Trawler.

Update II: Linked by Real Debate Wisconsin.

Update: Linked by The Other McCain.

Capper is Chris Liebenthal, human services worker in Milwaukee County, member of AFSCME Local 645. This is Capper:

He’s had his share of issues, shall we say. He’s been investigated for misuse of his Milwaukee County computer to operate political blogs during his work hours on the taxpayers’ dime. Right now, he is facing disciplinary action — suspension — for those actions. He fell for a hoax that purported to tie Arizona gunman Jared Lee Loughner, an unhinged lefty moonbat and 9/11 Troofer, was a registered Republican.

I don’t know Chris. Never met him. Have nothing against him personally. He operates a lefty blog called Cognitive Dissonance, which I have in my From The Left – Wisconsin blogroll. I consider him a must read for anyone who wants to get an accurate picture of the Left in Wisconsin.

Capper took exception to this post, which I put up yesterday, labeling the AFSCME thugs and goons, well, thugs and goons and accused them of racketeering and extortion for their attacks on small businesses in Union Grove. He chose to show his usual level of class with this pair of gems left in my comments queue. WARNING: Adult language ahead! Click to enlarge.

What’s more, the times that each comment was posted makes me wonder if Capper wasn’t working on my dime — yes, mine, since even though I do not live in Milwaukee County, state tax dollars flow into the country so by extension, I paid for this ad hominem personal attack.

The first comment was posted at 8:31 a.m., the second at 8:35 a.m. Unless he reported in late to work this morning, those times would seem to be during the normal working hours for a Milwaukee County employee. That would not be a first for Mr. Liebenthal.

My point is, the Left has demanded a new tone and civility from our side yet one of their most prominent faces in Wisconsin has no problem telling me “F*** you” and calling me a “F***ing a**hole” simply because I am calling his union out for borderline criminal behavior.

I have chosen to publish the comments and let Capper’s words speak for themselves. Unfortunately, they are representative of the criminal class we are fighting both in Wisconsin and across America.

Standing Up To Bullies

Perhaps, just maybe, when the White House hosted the recent anti-bullying conference, Our Lord and Savior Barack Hussein Obama could have spent a few minutes addressing the bullies that are doing His bidding, namely SEIU, AFSCME, AFL-CIO and the various teachers union thugs affiliated with the National Extortion Association.

We saw several brave small business owners standing up to AFSCME bullies in Union Grove. First, Ruma Sports (via Vicki McKenna’s Facebook page):

And, business owner Dawn Bobo (via the Racine Journal Times):

Now, the union thugs and goons were given a taste of their own medicine at Milwaukee’s Serb Hall courtesy of Citizens for Responsible Government. Via Badger Blogger:

AFSMCE Union Goon Tactics May Be Illegal

An update on the story we reported on yesterday, with union thugs and goons from AFSCME Council 24 threatening businesses in Union Grove: either allow us to put up AFSCME signs in windows or face an organized boycott of your business.

It appears that the AFSCME tactics, which we described as racketeering and extortion, may very well be illegal.

Via Bret Jacobson at Big Government come these state statutes:

943.30 Threats to injure or accuse of crime. (1) Whoever, either verbally or by any written or printed communication, maliciously threatens to accuse or accuses another of any crime or offense, or threatens or commits any injury to the person, property, business, profession, calling or trade, or the profits and income of any business, profession, calling or trade of another, with intent thereby to extort money or any pecuniary advantage whatever, or with intent to compel the person so threatened to do any act against the person’s will or omit to do any lawful act, is guilty of a Class H felony.

943.31 Threats to communicate derogatory information. Whoever threatens to communicate to anyone information, whether true or false, which would injure the reputation of the threatened person or another unless the threatened person transfers property to a person known not to be entitled to it is guilty of a Class I felony.

History: 1977 c. 173; 2001 a. 109.
A threat to injure a manager’s reputation unless a job is offered violated this section.
State v. Gilkes, 118 Wis. 2d 149, 345 N.W.2d 531 (Ct. App. 1984).

134.01 Injury to business; restraint of will. Any 2 or more persons who shall combine, associate, agree, mutually undertake or concert together for the purpose of willfully or maliciously injuring another in his or her reputation, trade, business or profession by any means whatever, or for the purpose of maliciously compelling another to do or perform any act against his or her will, or preventing or hindering another from doing or performing any lawful act shall be punished by imprisonment in the county jail not more than one year or by fine not exceeding $500.

Mafia and Sopranos references aside, this amounts to racketeering and extortion. These thugs and goons are threatening businesses with their very existence if they do not comply with their demand to place a pro-union sign in their windows.

Many businesses refuse to display political signs of any kind for fear of alienating customers. Personally, I knew of one business that elected to take political signs during election years but made sure to take signs from both sides in order not to turn away any potential business.

Tony Soprano had more class than these guys. At least he’d send Paulie Walnuts to have a talk with you first. Paulie could be very convincing.

Obama Energy Speech An Epic FAIL

Three words were all that speech needed to be:

Drill, baby, drill!

Instead, we get exactly the opposite.

Our Lord and Savior Barack Hussein Obama lectures the American people on the need to reduce our dependency on foreign oil yet lays out a plan to do just exactly the opposite.

Obama went to Washington’s Georgetown University to outline what he calls a “Blueprint for a Secure Energy Future.”

The president said his goal of slashing oil imports is reasonable, achievable and necessary for protecting U.S. economic security.

“When I was elected to this office, America imported 11 million barrels of oil a day,” said Obama.  “By a little more than a decade from now, we will have cut that by one-third.”

In the words of Joe Wilson: “You lie.”

This is a regime that has done nothing to expand domestic drilling and production of coal, oil and natural gas, despite overwhelming evidence that we have bountiful natural resources. In the wake of the BP oil spill, all leases for any drilling in the Gulf of Mexico have been held up, despite an order from a federal judge to begin reissuing those leases.

In fact, the Obama Regime has looked the other way while the ChiComs drill in the Gulf, and now courtesy of Obama Himself, the U.S. taxpayer will be financing Brazilian oil exploration and drilling to the tune of $2 billion.

The U.S. is going to lend billions of dollars to Brazil’s state-owned oil company, Petrobras, to finance exploration of the huge offshore discovery in Brazil’s Tupi oil field in the Santos Basin near Rio de Janeiro. Brazil’s planning minister confirmed that White House National Security Adviser James Jones met this month with Brazilian officials to talk about the loan.

The U.S. Export-Import Bank tells us it has issued a “preliminary commitment” letter to Petrobras in the amount of $2 billion and has discussed with Brazil the possibility of increasing that amount. Ex-Im Bank says it has not decided whether the money will come in the form of a direct loan or loan guarantees. Either way, this corporate foreign aid may strike some readers as odd, given that the U.S. Treasury seems desperate for cash and Petrobras is one of the largest corporations in the Americas.

And, Dear Leader, after consulting the U(seless) N(itwits) instead of Congress and the American people, commits to U.S. military involvement in Libya to guarantee the free flow of oil at market prices — for Europe.

Billions for Brazil. American blood for Europe. But not one red cent for the American people.

Worst. President. Ever.

Experts in the energy field are questioning just what it is the regime intends to do:

Eric Smith, who is associate director of the Tulane Energy Institute at Tulane University in New Orleans, said the moratorium on new drilling imposed after last year’s accident, as well as new regulations, have slowed energy development, in spite of what the president says.

“He points to the things like an increase in permits for shallow-water drilling without making the point that shallow-water drilling does not produce oil, it produces gas. Deep-water drilling produces oil. He points to seven permits being issued. In fact there were six permits issued and these were only for wells that had been started before the impact of the moratorium,” he said.

The point is: all Obama cares about is pushing his green energy agenda: wind and solar coupled with electric cars and mass transit.

Typical of an elitist. Electric putt-putt cars can go about 40 miles before having to be recharged. Translated: living where you want to live and working where you want to work are a thing of the past. That in turn will force people to relocate to the urban areas to live near where they work. Then Obama and Ray The Hood can push the choo-choo on them. After all, one of their primary goals is to force trains, a 19th century means of transportation, on the American people.

Back to the future.

Recall this piece of Red State’s Erick Erickson that appeared in Human Events, which we linked to here, as to why the steep increase in energy prices is intentional and why Obama has no intention on doing anything to reduce them:

There are two reasons gas prices must go up.  The first is to get people into coal powered cars.  Coal powered cars can only be driven around 40 miles before they must be plugged back into the grid for more coal power.  If everyone moves to coal powered cars, the drivers will be forced to live closer to cities.

Living closer to cities will increase urban density and decrease the supposedly anti-environmental impact of strip mall exurban utopias.  In the liberal reorganization of society, only farmers should live in rural areas.

Once urban density is increased to European levels, then Barack Obama and the left can finally make a viable case for high-speed rail.  There are, after all, two things high-speed rail supporters admit they need for viability: (1) high urban density and (2) high gas prices.  Hmmm . . .

See, it is not a conspiracy on Barack Obama’s part.  There is no secret.  This President and those he surrounds himself with actively want high gas prices.  They either do not care or are oblivious to the fact that high gas prices will wreak further havoc on the economy.

And as we wrote, there may be an even more ominous intent: control of the people.

It also fits in with the global agenda of the U(seless) N(itwits). Something called Agenda 21. Sustainable communities. All centralized global planning aimed at limiting the freedom of liberty of the Great Unwashed to come and go as they please. The automobile gives Americans freedom. Crisis-created mass transit takes it away and puts Americans at the mercy of the central planners who can then regulate their every movement.

Remember what Rahm Emanuel, the former White House adviser recently elected as Chicago’s Mayor said:

Never let a serious crisis go to waste. What I mean by that is it’s an opportunity to do things you couldn’t do before.

It is a frightening concept to be ruled by power-hungry individuals who look at a crisis as little more than an opportunity to radically change America and in the process extend the powerful grip of the rulers over the people.

Gas Prices: Double What They Were In January 2009

When Our Lord and Savior was transfigured in January 2009, the average price of a gallon of gas was $1.79. As of today, the average price nationwide is $3.58.

For those of you who graduated from Racine Unified, that’s twice what it was just 26 months ago. It’s doubled. In Mexifornia, the average price is $4 a gallon with a high of $4.14.

Here’s more bad news as The Messiah gears up for a second term:

Consumer price index (CPI) figures from February show an unadjusted 12 month gasoline inflation rate of 19.2%, but in the last month alone prices jumped 6.8%, probably because of oil price increases due to instabilities in the Middle East. If the trend continues, gas prices would double again within a year. 100% gasoline price inflation is nothing to brag about, but imagine Mr. Obama going into the 2012 election having to explain why gas costs $7.00 a gallon. I’m sure the White House would spin it as one of their “Green” initiatives.

It’s just one of the reasons that, despite all the handwringing from the political class and the blueblood countryclubber Republicans as to how the GOP just cannot nominate someone who’s conservative, Barack Hussein Obama is eminently beatable next year by anyone. Yes, anyone.

Don’t pay attention to polls taken now of hypothetical matchups showing Obama beating everyone, with the only ones close being Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee (yawn). Remember: Polls taken in 1979 and early 1980 showed Ronald Reagan trailing the worst President in American history (up until then), Jimmy Carter, by 25 points.

How’d that turn out?

The American middle and independents, which the pundits and GOP elites claim are turned off by a conservative will be paying those $6 and $7 a gallon gas prices, along with the soaring prices at the grocery stores as well as other energy and consumer prices.

Guess who they are going to blame? Jimmy Carter 2.0.

In fact, Americans may already be thinking this a little more than two years into His Thousand Year Reign:
