Katherine Windels And Lefty Justice

Make that injustice.

Remember Katherine Windels, the unhinged early childhood teacher charged with sending death threats to Gov. Walker and Republican members of the State Legislature and claiming to having planted bombs at the State Capitol?

Sure you do. We first covered it here and here.

This is what we wrote at the time:

Prediction: she pleas out to a misdemeanor charge, serves no jail time and gets community service.

Guess what happened?

She effectively entered a plea of nolo contendere and will be placed in a first-offender program and serve no jail time. Once she completes the program, the charges will be dismissed.

A Cross Plains woman who emailed death threats to 15 Republican state senators pleaded guilty Thursday to making a bomb threat and was placed in a first-offenders program.

Dane County Circuit Judge Julie Genovese said that although the threats made by Katherine Windels, 27, were serious, she has no prior criminal record and had mental health issues that affected her actions.

According to letters written by mental health treatment providers, Windels suffers from anxiety and depression and had been largely housebound for a period including March 9, when she sent the emails to the GOP senators, upset over their support for legislation stripping most collective bargaining rights from most Wisconsin public workers.

So, in the end, she won’t be convicted of anything — not even a misdemeanor — and will have the charges dismissed. It’ll be as if nothing ever happened

Contrast that with the aggressive attitude of law enforcement toward anyone engaging recall petitioners, including a man who did nothing more than scribble on a recall petition being charged with a felony and facing a year and a half in prison and two more years of extended supervision and another woman arrested and charged for destroying a sign supporting the recall of Gov. Walker. Other incidents of verbal altercations have resulted in citations and charges but only for supporters of the Governor. Clearly, law enforcement and the criminal (in)justice system in Wisconsin has taken sides, with their unionista brethren and against the taxpayers. It’s a shame that two entities that we trust to protect all of us — law enforcement and the prosecutors — have become so corrupted.

This is Dane County. Dane County and the Capitol Police took a hands-off approach toward dealing with the out-of-control rent-a-mobs in Madison protesting the attempts to fix the state budget and the message got out: pretty much anything was OK. Apparently that now includes threatening to kill the Governor as well as members of the Legislature as well as blowing up the Capitol.

Again, contrast that with the man who posted a sign on his truck that his business will not be hiring until Barack Obama is gone. What happened? He received a visit from the Secret Service.

Back to Windels. Apparently the diagnoses of anxiety and depression are her get-out-of-jail-free card — literally.

“I am convinced that she never intended to truly threaten or disturb anyone,” wrote Jennifer Branks, co-executive director of SOAR Case Management, which is involved in Windels’ treatment.

So, in the eyes of one bleeding heart, what Windels did was OK because she suffers from anxiety and depression. It’s OK to threaten to kill the Governor and members of the Legislature and to blow up the State Capitol.

Anxiety over what? She had a job. Since the article says she rarely left home. we’ll presume she lost that, certainly after the notoriety of her arrest. But unless she is living under a bridge, she has a roof over her head and food. Probably living with her parents, no doubt. Probably was at the time she sent the death threats.

By the way, as of mid-May almost 90 threats of violence against Gov. Walker were in the process of being investigated.

Authorities have investigated 89 threat cases against lawmakers of both parties, Gov. Scott Walker and others after the governor introduced his controversial anti-collective bargaining bill in February and Democratic senators fled the state to avoid voting on it, according to Department of Justice records released Thursday.

The records cover 78 closed cases reviewed by the agency’s Division of Criminal Investigation between Feb. 19 and March 25, including one by a Department of Corrections employee who was arrested for disorderly conduct for allegedly making a verbal threat to shoot Walker. DOC spokeswoman Linda Eggert confirmed that the man, Jeffrey Renock, 37, is a correctional officer at the Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility and made the purported threat while at work.

“This particular incident was investigated internally, and appropriate action was taken,” Eggert said, declining to offer further details.

Excuse me, but a specific threat made by a correctional officer to assassinate Gov. Walker is an internal matter?? This is not a personnel matter say like surfing the Internet on company time or even stealing pens. This is an individual paid by state taxpayers in the position of supervising inmates in the state prison system committing a crime of his own by threatening to assassinate the Governor.

What did they do? Place a letter of reprimand in his personnel file?

Just imagine if Renock had made the same threat against the President. Would that have been investigated internally with “appropriate action” taken?

Let There Be Light

Congress has overturned the obnoxious ban on incandescent light bulbs set to go into effect January 1, 2012.

Congressional negotiators struck a deal Thursday that overturns the new rules that were to have banned sales of traditional incandescent light bulbs beginning next year.

That agreement is tucked inside the massive 1,200-page spending bill that funds the government through the rest of this fiscal year, and which both houses of Congress will vote on Friday. Mr. Obama is expected to sign the bill, which heads off a looming government shutdown.

Congressional Republicans dropped almost all of the policy restrictions they tried to attach to the bill, but won inclusion of the light bulb provision, which prevents the Obama administration from carrying through a 2007 law that would have set energy efficiency standards that effectively made the traditional light bulb obsolete.

Technically, the ban itself was not repealed, but the Obama Regime has been prohibited from spending any money to implement the ban. Either way, it’s dead.

This is appropriate:

Tim Tebow And The Hate Left

Few people seem to have struck terror and the mother lode of hate that runs through all lefties more so than Tim Tebow, the quarterback of the Denver Broncos.

Tebow, who made a nationally televised pro-life commercial while still attending the University of Florida, has taken the Broncos on a 7-1 run since taking over as the starting QB and currently Denver is in first place in the AFC West, one game ahead of the Oakland Raiders. Tebow has pulled off several late rallies in leading the Broncos to victory. Tebow publicly acknowledges his Christian faith in interviews, thanks God and bows to one knee as a sign of worship, giving rise to the phenomenon of “Tebowing.”

The Broncos have a big game coming up on Sunday at home against the New England Patriots, winners of three Super Bowls in the past decade.

Jill Stanek (via Moonbattery) points out that the Feminazis, never one to miss an opportunity to score political points, are encouraging those who support the massacre of babies in the womb to donate money to pro-abortion groups for every touchdown pass thrown by Tebow:

So here is my solution, and if you’re a sports fan that also thinks women should be able to do what they want, when they want, and how they want it with their uteri, you can join in this too.

For every touchdown Tebow throws next week (when the Broncos play against another famous QB, Tom Brady) , donate $5 or $10 to your local pro-choice organization…

I figure this is indeed the best way to enjoy football, support Tim Tebow (more touchdowns, mannn!!!), and give, give, give to pro-choice organizations earning little to no glory, yet desperately in need of funds.

In their sick, twisted, perverted mind, they may be hoping to do what Dave Blount says:

Apparently the idea is to stop Tebow’s astounding string of victories by psyching him out; by throwing touchdown passes, he will be complicit in the murder of innocent children.

In the eyes of the Feminazis, here’s the crime Tim Tebow’s mother committed: giving birth to him. You see, she was a classic crisis pregnancy that the Feminazis use to push for abortion to preserve the mother’s health. While pregnant and in the Philippines on a missionary trip, she contracted amoebic dysentary and rejected doctors’ advice to have an abortion, instead giving birth to her son. This was an unforgiveable sin in the eyes of the Left, one of whose motto is “Abort! Abort! Abort!”

After all, it’s all about choice, until the mother chooses to give birth.

Here’s the commercial Tim Tebow and his mother did that ran during Super Bowl XLIV:

Of course, Tebow’s Christian faith is also become fair game for mocking by the Hate Left. Latest to pile on is former Commie News Network commentator Bill Press:

From the transcript:

Oh yeah, all right all right yeah first of all I just have to thank my lord and savior Jesus Christ and you know what I want to say, S.T.F.U. [shut the f*** up]!

I’m tired of hearing Tim Tebow and all this Jesus talk. I don’t know about you, 866 55 Press. Come on Tim Tebow, of course ha ha ha I got to tell you, he’d better be praying up praying hard this week because he’s up against a real quarterback on Sunday against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots … Tim Tebow, everybody wants to make him a hero. I think he’s a disgrace! I think he’s a disgrace! I think he’s an embarrassment!

A disgrace? How so? Granted, one can argue his capabilities as an NFL quarterback. The passing game is suspect, and the Broncos have been running an offense unseen in the NFL since the 1940s in order to take advantage of Tebow’s running abilities. Credit goes to Coach John Fox for being able to adjust his offense.

But would Press and other unhinged lefties and anti-Christian bigots be so out of sorts if Tebow were to say “There is no god but Allah and Mohammed is his prophet” and “Allahu Akbar” after scoring, acknowledging his Muslim faith, as Muslim athletes are prone to do? Of course not. They certainly have no problem with the self-glorification dances and other actions designed to draw attention to themselves.

Couple of observations worth citing. First, Radio Equalizer’s Brian Maloney:

What happens when one of our “progressive” friends writes a book called TOXIC TALK: How The Radical Right Has Poisoned America’s Airwaves (with a book-signing party hosted by Media Matters), then gives an on-air F-U to Quarterback Tim Tebow for daring to express religious beliefs?

For lefty politics in 2011, we might call that just another day at the office.

But it’s also a striking example of unhinged anti-Christian bigotry. What exactly is Tebow doing that is so offensive? It’s a quick public expression of religious devotion, usually lasting mere seconds.

Then, Hot Air’s Allahpundit, himself an admitted agnostic:

I honestly don’t understand why it’s objectionable for Tebow to thank God in his post-game interviews but not for every halfwit at the Grammys to do it when accepting their award. The only obvious difference is that it’s clear from his lifestyle that Tebow really means it whereas with other celebs it often seems like more of a check-the-box thing.

That’s exactly what it is: bigotry against the one group it’s OK in the eyes of the Left. Christians. Because somehow they have it coming.

We hope Tebow continues to have success. He’s been great for the NFL. His story is a testimony to his faith and the way God works through people. Beating the Patriots and Tom Brady may be a tall order; if there’s any coach who can devise a defense to stop the innovative Broncos’ offense, it’s New England’s Bill Belichick. After all, he stopped the Greatest Show on Turf offense of the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI.

This is what the Hate Left is attacking when they attack Tebow:

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Tim Tebow Foundation and CURE International are teaming up to build a children’s hospital in the Philippines, where the Denver Broncos quarterback was born.

The Tebow CURE Hospital in Davao City on the island of Mindanao, a particularly poor area of the Philippines, will be a 30-bed surgical facility focusing on orthopedics.

The groundbreaking will be held in January and the $3 million hospital is expected to open in 2013.

That’s right. A man who takes the money he’s earned and uses some of it to help sick children around the world is somehow the epitome of evil to the Hate Left. He’s the next Hitler in their eyes.

Here’s the website for the Tim Tebow Foundation. Consider helping them in their efforts during this Christmas season.

Moving To Stop Recall Fraud

On the heels of the revelation that people have signed multiple petitions to recall Gov. Walker — including one man admitting to signing as many as 80 such petitions — and that organizers are encouraging people to sign multiple times, State Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald (R-Horicon) is proposing that such action be a felony under state law.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republican state Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald wants to make it a felony for anyone to sign the same recall petition multiple times.

Fitzgerald on Thursday introduced a bill that would make that a crime. State law already outlaws signing a fake name to a petition or someone else’s name.

Under current law, the burden for finding fraudulent signatures rests with those challenging them and not the state elections board which reviews the petitions once submitted.

The current law works only when there are honorable people on both sides. Clearly the unionistas and the unhinged Left attempting a do-over of the November 2010 elections are not honorable people.

Given that state law already outlaws signing a fake name or signing someone else’s name to petitions — the latter has already been admitted in which individuals have admitted to signing their own name as well as other family members — it’s simply astounding that the Government Accountability Board, dominated by Jim Doyle hacks, would issue a statement that fictitious signatures such as Mickey Mouse would be accepted as long as there was a Wisconsin address to accompanied it.

More Of Vote Fraud? What Vote Fraud?

On top of allowing the signatures of Mickey Mouse and Adolf Hitler to be counted toward the recall effort against Gov. Walker — as long as they have a Wisconsin address — the Government Accountability Board, controlled by Jim Doyle hacks, is allowing “X” as a signature as well as illegible addresses. Scribbling, as it were.

If street names are illegible, the signatures will still be counted, said election specialist Katie Mueller. The signatures themselves will almost always be counted, even when they consist of just an “X.” If names appear to be fictitious – “Mickey Mouse,” for instance – the workers will flag the names, but will not strike them.

“We base everything on a presumption of validity,” Mueller said.

Never mind that on any other legal document, an “X” as a signature requires two witnesses.

No, this is not from some Third World banana republic, nor is it from The Onion.

It’s from Unionista-controlled Wisconsin, where the ends always justify the means. Or, as the motto of the Democrat Party reads: “We have what it takes to take what you have.”

Freedom From Religion Gestapo In Action

It’s Christmas, so like Marley’s Ghost, the specter of the Freedom From Religion Foundation rears its ugly, intolerant head to wage war against any public displays remotely connected to Christmas, either the secular story involving Santa Claus or the real story of Christmas, centered on the birth of Christ.

The public face of the Freedom From Religion Gestapo is Annie Laurie Gaylor (pictured, below):

Sieg Heil!

The Apostles of Intolerance from the FFRF have trained their guns on the city of Athens, Tex., over the display of a Nativity scene in public.

An hour and a half outside of Dallas, the Athens town square is dominated by the county courthouse, and this time of year, Christmas decorations are on each corner. But it is the nativity scene across the street from the Taco Bell that has caused controversy.

It started with a simple letter. As Jefferson County commissioner Joe Hall tells it, he received the shock of his life when he found out a Wisconsin group was demanding that the nativity scene be taken down.

And, much like their ancestors did at the Alamo, these Texans aren’t backing down from the fight. Says Hall:

You come to my house looking for a fight, you’re gonna get one.

And when Reichfuhrer Gaylor threatened legal action, like the bully she is?

Hall has said if it comes to that, the county has already received offers of legal help. He also says the nativity scene will come down “after Christmas, or when hell freezes over.”

Here’s an image of the Nativity that the jackbooted thugs from the FFRF find so offensive:

The U.S. Constitution mentions nothing about freedom from religion. For the record, the First Amendment reads as follows:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Gaylor and FFRF, as well as fellow atheists like Rob Sherman and the thugs from the American Atheists are little more than fascists, intolerant of anyone else’s freedom of expression other than theirs. By the way, by default, atheism is its very own religion, and banning the freedom of expression of Christians — notice I didn’t say others, because for some odd reason, they never seem to take on the Religion of Piece (of Arm, of Leg, of Torso) — is doing what they claim others are doing to them simply by having the display in public.

Many of the aggressive, in-your-face atheists have hidden behind claims of being libertarian, much like the “legalize drugs” crowd and the pro-homosexual marriage folks. They’re pretty much leftists and statists, except for those issues. They are the 20-somethings, brainwashed by gummint-run skoolz and the popular culture and attacking Christians as “Christofascists.” You have a generation at least of people raised on a culture stripped of any semblence of a higher power, puts man in control of everything and says we evolved from apes.

Go figure we’re headed into the sewer. And the atheists, secular humanists and freethinkers are driving the bus.

Lefty Mayor Wants Illegal Aliens To Vote

Proof that Wisconsin doesn’t corner the market on electoral corruption, the mayor of New Haven, Ct., wants illegal aliens to be allowed to vote in local elections.

New Haven Mayor John DeStefano plans to ask the state Legislature to allow illegal immigrants who live in the city to be able vote in municipal elections.

DeStefano said on Tuesday that the proposal would build a more engaged community and follows the lead of other cities, the New Haven Register reports.

The Register reports that 10,000 to 12,000 undocumented residents are believed to live in New Haven.

Immigrants who are in the U.S. legally or illegally and cannot vote now would still be unable to vote in state or federal elections.

Yeah, DeStefano is a … Democrat. What a shock, although that fact isn’t mentioned until near the bottom of the article. The original article, found here, doesn’t mention it at all.

Interesting to note …

It is estimated that between 10,000 and 12,000 undocumented residents illegal aliens are in New Haven.

Of course, our RINO (Republican In Name Only) presidential candidates — Romney and Gingrich — are OK with granting them amnesty, along with all the other illegal aliens inside our borders, thus giving the Democrats yet another solid voting bloc and ensuring the Republicans commit political suicide and winding up as a minority party everywhere for at least two generations.

Fraud In Walker Recall Petitions

Guess what?

There’s cheating in them thar Wisconsin recall elections, and the Jim Doyle crony dominated Government Accountability Board is OK with it.

From WITI-TV (Channel 6) in Milwaukee:

The signatures of Mickey Mouse and Adolf Hitler will be counted on recall petitions targeting Gov. Scott Walker as long as they are properly dated and include a Wisconsin address, the board charged with reviewing the petitions was told Tuesday.

Suspicious signatures will b noted when the Government Accountability Board reviews the petitions, but reviewers will look to see that signatures are accompanied by a Wisconsin address and are dated as having been signed during the circulation period, board elections specialist David Buerger said.

“We will flag them, but we will not strike them without challenge,” Buerger said after being asked whether Mickey Mouse’s signature would be counted. He noted that in previous recall petitions, Adolf Hitler’s name was struck because the address given was in Germany, not because of the name itself.

The board unanimously approved the board’s plan for reviewing the petitions.

Here’s the video of the decision courtesy of the MacIver News Service:

How can fictitious names not be thrown out? What type of Third World banana republic has Wisconsin become? The signature of Adolf Hitler actually did appear in the previous round of recall elections but was thrown out, not because it was obvious fraudulent but because the MENSA candidate used an address in Berlin. Germany, not Wisconsin. If they claimed Hitler lived in Berlin, Wis., that would have been OK according to the collection of hacks appointed by former Gov. Jim Milhous Doyleone.

Thanks to the Doyle era corruption — none of which was prosecuted by the see-no-evil, hear-no-evil, speak-no-evil empty suit Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen — Wisconsin is now officially more corrupt in the electoral process than Chicago. Even the Chicago Machine couldn’t stoop this low. All the late Mayor Richard J. Daley did in 1960 was dump voting machines in the Chicago River.

It’s now officially goofy. No, not this Goofy, although he’d be eligible to sign a petition to recall Gov. Walker if there was a Wisconsin address.

No word as to whether that has to be a real address or, as is typical with the electoral fraud of the Left, a vacant lot will suffice.

Time’s Person Of The Year

In yet another sign that Time magazine as well as Newsweek and the other dead tree news publications are irrelevant, Time selected … The Protestor as its Person of the Year.

That’s right. The protestor. Not the Tea Party protestor, mind you. But rather the Occutard, the unhinged unionista, Segway Boy, Pink Slip Guy.

Yeah. Those assclowns. The people that helped bring civility back to American politics. The guy who crapped on a police car:

Time’s Person Of The Year

Or the Seattle Occutard who crapped on the street:

By the way, this is the official Obama-endorsed Occupy movement.

We have Segway Boy Jeremy Ryan, who rides his idiotic segway around Madison harassing people and elected officials with whom he disagrees:

We have Pink Slip Guy Miles Kristan, who physically stalks and assaults elected officials as well as targets the children of Gov. Walker for online harassment.

Then we have this guy sleeping at the Wisconsin State Capitol during the budget repair protests:

“Whale on the beach! Whale on the beach!”

Another prime candidate for Time’s Person of the Year.

Guess who these piece of human debris beat out? This guy:

That’s right. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) finished second to the participants in Poopstock and Unhinged UnionistaFest. The man trying to hold a serious grown-up conversation about budget and entitlement reform in America, the Adult in the Room.

Time gets our Mr. Irrelevant Award here.
